Rhett Miller at Largo
Just saw Rhett Miller of the Old 97s at Largo tonight. My god that show kicked ass. He did a bunch of new solo stuff and a bunch of Old 97s stuff. This other guy (Jon Brion) came out and played piano with him. Now I've seen hundreds of shows in my lifetime...and I've never seen anyone play better rock n' roll piano than this guy. He apparently was recording at Abbey Road studios the day before. Duane said he has done a few movie soundtracks like Eternal Sunshine and I Heart Huckabees. Now I must check his stuff out. Sandra Oh was in the audience...nice to know she's a fan hehe. Rhett is currently recording his new record in LA...which should include a French version of "The Question." soon come the tears.
